RHG is seeking an Onboarding & Employee Relations Specialist for a full time position in the Human Resources department at Rural Health Group's administrative office in Roanoke Rapids, NC. This person will be responsible for all of the Human Resources processes pertaining to pre-hire and onboarding new employees and students as well as the point person for employee relations. Prior experience in Human Resources is required for this position.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality at all times
  • Maintain online database for all job applications.
  • Serve as liaison between HR Dept and Hiring Managers.
  • Coordinates background and references checks and pre-employment occupational health screenings on all applicants and maintain HR “H” Drives as directed by CHRO.
  • Schedules and coordinates new hire orientation on bi-weekly basis.
  • Coordinate student experiences including finding preceptors, documentation, contracts, etc.
  • Assist employees with all HR requests maintaining excellent internal and external customer service at all times.
  • Organize and maintain all HR files including but not limited to, personnel records, I-9 logs and files, manuals.
  • Assist CEO and Executive Assistant with all provider/staff recruitment responsibilities as requested.
  • Assist with internal policy system as requested.
  • Assist with creating marketing materials for the company such as announcement mailings, email blasts, etc.
  • Serve as chair of the Employee Satisfaction committee
  • Photocopy, fax, and scan documents as requested.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business/human resources/related field and/or applicable experience. HR experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs is required. 
  • Pleasant, professional approach toward patients, providers, co-workers and superiors; excellent teamwork skills.
  • Able to work independently, handling high volume and multiple tasks; work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Possess knowledge of modern office equipment, systems and procedures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly organized and detail oriented.
