Description
Seeking LPN or CMA for full time clinical assistant position. Position will be float to multiple Rural Health Group clinics. Successful candidate will be bilingual and LPN with active NC LPN license or Certified MA.

This position will:
- Maintain detailed knowledge of role of a clinical assistant and EHR documentation standards in order to understand and analyze clinical quality reports.
- Works closely with Practice Manager, Provider and team to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet patient needs and if necessary serve role of the clinical assistant when necessary to meet this need.
- Meet with all new and established patients with special needs, explaining PCP’s, Patient Portal and RHG Way ex. Language barrier, translation services, high risk care needs, etc.
- Provide appropriate written and verbal Interpretations services at all transitions of care.

The following clinical skills/experience are preferred:
- Phlebotomy
- Equipment usage (EKG, clinitek, Hemoglobin)
- Good documentation skills
- Tracking and maintaining medical data
- Immunization (adult and pediatric)
- Injections
- IV therapy
- Strong understanding of disease management for providing patient education at the direction of provider
REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required; applicants who may serve in a translating capacity will be required to take a language assessment
- Outpatient physician office experience strongly preferred
- Active North Carolina LPN License or MA Certification strongly preferred
- Expanded nurse role experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, telephone and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment
- Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions
- Pleasant, professional approach; must be able to work well with the public and provide excellent internal and external customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors
- Possess knowledge of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office software programs
- Basic computer skills; must be able to quickly learn to use eClinicalWorks electronic health record system
