Description
Medication Assistance Program (MAP) Coordinator-
Position located in Hollister; travel to other RHG sites required. Mission is to improve health care promotion by decreasing barriers to medication acquisition.
MAP Coordinator will:
• be responsible for medication access advocacy for RHG patients who need prescription assistance but are not currently receiving assistance
• work with physicians and contract pharmacies to increase awareness of available assistance
• assist patients with applications and qualifications of pharmaceutical assistance programs to improve access to prescription medicines
• work independently under general supervision of Pharmacy Director and work collaboratively with medical/dental providers, staff, contract pharmacies, and clinic patients
Successful candidate must demonstrate the Rural Health Group Core Competencies, which include:
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma/GED
• Strong writing, computer and communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually in a fast paced work environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Interested in working with an underserved population
• Ability to problem-solve, forward think, and adapt
• Ability to travel to all RHG clinic sites and promote program availability
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable, reliable, consistent work attendance
• Must follow RHG polices/procedures/protocols and North Carolina Board of Pharmacy laws/rules/regulations
