Rural Health Group is seeking two full time medical billers.

Job duties and responsibilities include:
- Processes claims daily
- Reviews claims for errors, corrects claims before transmission and transmits clean claims
- Aggressively investigates, corrects and follows claim denials
- Communicates to staff opportunities to reduce denials and enhance revenue
- Identifies, reports and resolves reimbursement issues
- Communicates reimbursement issues to Director of Revenue
- Handles incoming billing calls and responds to requests for information from patients and outside sources
- Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least 1 year’s experience working in an outpatient medical facility, preferably in Medical Coding and Reimbursement
• CPC certification strongly preferred, but not required
• Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently; excellent teamwork skills
• Must be able to provide excellent internal and external customer service
• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment
• Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to use good judgment in carrying out responsibilities
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, superiors, payers, etc.
• Knowledge of modern office equipment, Microsoft Office software programs, and dental practice management systems; ability to type
