The 340B Program Referral Analyst under the direction of the Pharmacy Director is responsible for performing patient chart reviews to ensure compliance with the federal guidance of the 340B Program.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform patient chart reviews to ensure that referral records are present that support the dispensing of 340B medications; may involve presenting and resolving reconciliation issues as they arise during the monitoring and reconciliation process.
- Ensure compliance with 340B program requirements for qualified patients, drugs, and locations.
- Generates reports from 340B software to gather and analyze data.
- Participates monthly audits of contract pharmacies.
- Participates in monthly self-audits on internal 340B Pharmacy Operations
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience
At least one year pharmacy and/or medical office experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Working knowledge of inpatient and outpatient pharmacy practices, policies and procedures and billing processes.
Basic knowledge of data gathering, and data analysis.
Ability to work independently to follow through on assigned tasks.
Ability to meet project deadlines and adhere to reporting procedures and requirements.
Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
