Description
Rural Health Group is seeking a part-time Housekeeper for multiple RHG facilities located in Roanoke Rapids area. Part-time positions are not benefit eligible. This position will also provide coverage to other facilities if needed.
Please note: Hours will be second shift - Monday-Friday.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Housekeeping Supervisor in maintaining cleanliness of all RHG locations as assigned.
- Duties at all locations include but are not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, mopping, carpet care, bathroom, exam room, and common area cleaning/sanitizing, trash disposal. (May need to be repeated throughout the work day)
- Attend to urgent housekeeping needs as directed by Practice Manager.
- Assure that entries inside and out are in good order at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor and Facilities Maintenance Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- At least one year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Possess a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions
- Possess the tact necessary to deal effectively with patients, providers and other employees
- Knowledge of commonly used housekeeping tools and chemicals
- Must have good communication skills including the ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
- Must have a pleasant, professional attitude toward patients, customers, co-workers and superiors
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods; ability to perform lifting, climbing, and working with hazardous chemicals in the course of normal job requirements
- Must be reliable and punctual in attendance per RHG attendance policy
- Work as a valued team member wherever assigned within RHG network
- Makes safety a top priority
- Report to supervisor any unsafe observations in any and all locations
- Participate in all safety/OSHA requirements as directed
