Rural Health Group is seeking a full-time Medical Records Specialist. The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for the overall maintenance of medical records, to include ensuring each record is properly labeled, complete, organized, and controlled. Outpatient physician office experience preferred, particularly knowledge of medical record retention and HIPAA guidelines and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
- Absolute confidentiality a must.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent collaboration/teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective, professional relationships with patients, providers, coworkers, and superiors.
- Physical demands: Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and lift storage boxes of records.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Possess knowledge of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office software programs; ability to electronically log records.
- Background check, drug screen, and E-Verify required for all positions.
